Charles went above and beyond representing me in this case where my basic right to counsel was not upheld by the state troopers, from the time I was pulled over on the side of the road. As soon as I got to the station I requested to speak to my attorney so I could ask which second test would be best I know I only had two glasses of wine and a plate of spaghetti at a benefit raising money for my best friend who had been shot downtown. I had learned my lesson two years before sts, driver interlock system on my truck, and classes And fines. While at the station I asked to speak to consult with my attorney and was given a phone for a few minutes, unable to contact Mr. Segal I told the trooper I was not refusing just needed a few more minutes to get in contact with him. By this time it was past 2 in the morning and was unable to get in contact with him. The trooper was furious with me for wasting his time even though on the side of the road he had me stand on one foot while having a full conversation with him. At this time he put me in a cell not to have phone access again till morning. Bright and early in the morning around 9 am Mr. Segal was informing me of my rights and trying to figure out my case but was on a hold in jail with a woman called bone crusher because she had broken the bones in her babies body. Over the next few days Charles worked to get me bail to get me out I did not belong. Charles Segal knew I was not cut out for imprisonment and visited daily until I got bail hearing. Finally he got me out and started working vigorously on my case always keeping me informed. The first part of my case went quickly the trooper did not even bother to show up, so my license was reinstated and I could drive again, at least being mobile and able to help my best friends mom out with her dog and errands. Sadly after seven weeks of fighting she succumb to her injuries. The whole time Charles keeping my confidence up when I wanted to give up and just be done, go to jail and rot I was so sad. But the text messages and phone calls from Mr. Segal gave me strength. After six months the case was finally dismissed and I am still trying to get my life in order and he is still fighting to get my vehicle back what a great man, what a great attorney, what a great friend…
